The Demo Day was really fun and also a great learning experience. This was an excellent opportunity for us to practice our pitch, demonstrate Yumi's design and technological ability, and of course, get some practice in before the end of the year event. There was a lot to juggle, speaking to many people at once, saying the pitch well and answering people's questions.
We were glad to get positive feedback from mentors and also from our fellow peers. Additionally, we received feedback about how we could improve the pitch itself, what we said verbally, making sure to emphasize important things and emphasizing the urgency of distracted driving at the beginning, and mentioning that Yumi is nudging the driver to be more focused while driving, not removing their free will, and citing that the gestures were based on user testing and interviews.
Prior to the event next week, we will definitely keep everything in mind, and practice. We look forward to putting everything together, the design, the technology, the movie and more, and demonstrating everything we've been working on for the past two semesters!
