We have officially begun our journey in the Prototype Program at MiLab (Media Innovation Lab). Our team is comprised of five university students whom are studying either Computer Science 👩🏽💻, Communications 🗣 or Psychology 🧠.
The theme that will be guiding us throughout the year is, Companionship. The first exercise we needed to complete was to research and explore various aspects of Companionship. As a general recap, some of the aspects we looked into were: social robots and companionship, specifically social robots and their role in the healthcare system, the positive and negative affects technology and social media have on our closest relationships (both romantic and platonic), and the impact pet companionships have on our mental and physical health.
